About This Role
WRITER, the leading AI builder for enterprise businesses, is seeking a dynamic and experienced senior director of strategic events to lead our strategic events portfolio and team. In this role, you'll be responsible for strategizing, creating and executing high-impact events that showcase our customers, partners, and team on the industry's biggest stages, such as CES, the World Economic Forum, Cannes Lions, our global AI Leaders Forum series, and our AI and developer brand events. Your leadership will ensure that our events aren't just memorable but also drive significant business value and customer engagement.
- Team leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages creativity and excellence.
- Set clear goals and performance metrics for the team, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Event strategy and planning:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic events portfolio that aligns with our business goals and enhances our brand presence.
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of major industry events, ensuring they're well-organized, engaging, and deliver measurable results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product, to ensure events are integrated into broader marketing and business strategies.
- Innovation and continuous improvement:
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in event marketing and management.
- Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and enhance our event offerings.
- Gather and analyze feedback from attendees, partners, and internal stakeholders to refine and improve future events.
- Budget and resource management:
- Manage event budgets and resources effectively, ensuring cost efficiency and optimal return on investment.
- Negotiate and manage vendor relationships, ensuring high-quality services and cost-effective solutions.
- Track and report on event performance, using data to inform future strategies and improvements.

️ Is this you?
- Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in event marketing and management, with a focus on strategic events, user conferences, and large-scale industry tradeshows.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and executing high-impact events that drive business results.
- Experience in managing and leading a team
- Skills:
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and executive leadership.
- Proficiency in budget management and financial analysis.
- Experience with event technology and marketing automation tools.
