Job description

Senior Director, Strategic Engagement and Initiatives

Job Summary: In the context of our overarching foundation Building Community of Hope Goals, the Strategic Engagement and Initiatives unit, within the office of the CEO, develops national, regional, and local initiatives focused on improving the well-being outcomes of children, families, and communities. These initiatives involve multi-sector collaborations, primarily targeting underserved populations and under-resourced communities. The workgroup manages relationships with philanthropic organizations, foundations, and national non-profits to influence the national narrative around Building Communities of Hope.

This position will focus on influencing policy and practice improvements and strengthening the field regarding supporting children and families at the intersection of immigration and well-being. The role involves engaging with entities across sectors to support immigrant or mixed-status families at risk of entering or in custody of child welfare systems, aiming to foster greater support for this population. The ideal candidate will have expertise in services to immigrant families and children, experience in developing cross-sector collaborations, initiative planning, development, and implementation, and effective engagement strategies, including co-design.

This role reports directly to the Managing Director of Strategic Engagement and Initiatives and collaborates with other senior leaders within the organization to develop and implement strategies for this focus area.
