This is a high-impact role for a seasoned professional with deep knowledge of enforcement trends, multistate investigations, and state-level political dynamics. The ideal candidate has extensive experience working with or within state elected offices, and a strong track record advising corporate or public-sector clients through complex regulatory environments.

• Lead the Practice: Set strategy, advise clients, and serve as the firm’s senior point of contact on all state-related matters.
• Cultivate Relationships: Engage with elected officials, chiefs of staff, senior deputies, and key associations.
• Represent Clients Publicly: Attend, speak at, and navigate major conferences and policy forums.
• Monitor Enforcement Trends: Deliver strategic counsel that helps clients anticipate investigations and regulatory shifts.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in state agencies, multistate regulatory defense, high-stakes litigation, or public-policy consulting.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to brief executives and navigate government relationships fluidly.
• JD or comparable legal/policy background preferred.
• Willingness to travel ~25% domestically.
