Overview

Real Chemistry is looking for a Senior Director to join its Social Media team. This team is a group within Real Chemistry’s Activation department that works in partnership with creative, paid activation and brand strategy & business leads to develop and implement high engagement social content and channel strategies designed to drive action and make impact. We believe we are best together, bring together experts from a wide range of disciplines, and collaborate under a single, unified mission: to transform what healthcare is to what it should be.

We are open to remote work in the US or a hybrid capacity based out of any US office, preferably in the New York City area. This is a leadership role within a healthcare-focused agency at the intersection of healthcare, marketing, communications, data, and AI.

What You'll Do

• Act as day-to-day social media lead across multiple healthcare accounts as part of an integrated team; advise on the execution of social media analytics, content development and distribution, and results reporting for several clients; advise on paid campaigns.
• Nurture and maintain in-depth knowledge of social media platforms and trends to guide account teams and help Real Chemistry stay an authority in the space; contribute vision on social landscape, standard methodologies, and cultural happenings across platforms.
• Collaborate with in-house data scientists and analysts to provide competitive social performance insights, improve performance, and advise future content strategy; communicate measurement opportunities to energize clients.
• Build and lead all aspects of social media budgets, coordinating with internal teams to optimize the right mix for clients; support scopes of work and supervise paid social budgets.
• Identify new opportunities for integrated social (including social media, digital, influencer, and creative) and partner with social network representatives to stay ahead of trends; present new and organic growth opportunities to clients.
• Serve as an outstanding people manager to a high-performing team.

What You Should Have

• Minimum 9+ years of experience, ideally in health or pharmaceutical social media.
• Proficiency with a variety of social media technologies and platforms (e.g., Meta Ads Manager, content management systems, social monitoring, and measurement platforms).
• Understanding of FDA and FTC regulations guiding social media efforts for biotech and pharma clients.
• Familiarity with web analytics platforms like Google Analytics and partnering with web teams on integrated media communications.
• Client service experience in an agency environment.
• Demonstrated ability to grow social media business with current clients and participate in occasional new business pitches.
• Experience leading and mentoring junior staff.
• Outstanding written and oral communication and presentation skills.

Pay Range

$133,000.00-$170,000.00

Location & Work Model

Remote in the US or hybrid from any US office, preferably New York City area.
