Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Senior Director to lead engagements with C-suite and boards on capital markets challenges, strengthening investor conviction and defending against activist situations. You will guide equity strategy and investor relations to enhance shareholder value.

You will leverage deep market expertise across capital markets, equity analysis, and governance to support client needs, including travel and non-standard hours as required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in institutional investing, equity research, investment banking, or capital markets advisory.
• Expertise in equity analysis, valuation, and investor dynamics.
• Track record of credible engagement with C-suite executives and boards on capital markets strategy.
• Experience in shareholder activism, proxy contests, or contested M&A situations.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex analyses into clear narratives.
• Ability to work in ambiguous, high-pressure situations and manage competing client priorities.
• Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills; ability to build trust across stakeholders.
• Willingness to be hands-on and contribute to client work; travel flexibility.
