Theis position will play a pivotal role in supporting Banner Health's Revenue Cycle strategy and growth plan. This position is responsible for managing a team that establishes and leads a portfolio management and governance approach in alignment with Banner’s strategic targets. The scope includes both Enterprise strategic efforts and Revenue Cycle-specific initiatives. This position is also responsible for positioning Banner for internal and external growth opportunities obtained through mergers and acquisitions.This focus on growth/merger and acquisitions includes representing and supporting Revenue Cycle due diligence efforts; developing the appropriate transition and integration controls to support growth; and establishing a growth playbook to maintain a consistent and efficient approach. This position will also be responsible for communicating and collaborating with other internal stakeholders to advance Banner and Revenue Cycle strategic efforts.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Develops and oversees the department budget to meet corporate goals and objectives. Meets annual budgetary goals. Translates organizational plans, goals, and initiatives into assumptions for annual operating and/or capital budgets.
2.Influences the development, implementation, and consistent application of effective organizational policies, procedures, and practices. Influences internal controls to ensure that assets are safeguarded, policies and operating procedures are followed, necessary controls are effective and efficient, and compliance with current laws and regulations is achieved.
3. Actively participates in setting the strategic direction for functional area(s) and provides direction and support to ensure execution of operations, programs, services, and/or other applicable areas.
4. Serves as an integrator of people, processes and systems within the Revenue Cycle department. Builds and supports effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and organizations. Develops partnerships, coordinates activities, reviews work, exchanges information, and/or resolves problems related to program of work.
5. Position is a corporate based position and functions as a subject matter expert. Supports the achievement of financial goals and performance metrics for system. The work requires direct leadership, problem solving skills and is involved with identifying and resolving operational problems.
6. Responsible for training, and developing, key direct reports including HR related procedures and succession planning for Banner’s continued success.
7. Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Banner Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
Requires minimum 7 years direct business experience in portfolio management or growth/merger/acquisition support
Requires strong human relations, organizational, process improvement and project management and communication skills as well as demonstrated leadership skills. Must have advanced computer skills with strong working knowledge of IT systems, applications, and functions from clinical and business perspectives.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Critical thinking skills and ability to communicate with Executive and Senior leadership across the organization. Ability to solution independently.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous 7-10 years leadership experience preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
