Capital One is seeking a Senior Director, Full-stack Engineer (Remote-Eligible) to lead multiple high-performing engineering teams and shape the technology roadmap in the Global Payment Network. You will drive architectural standards, partner with product and business leaders, mentor engineers, and advance cloud-based platforms with a culture of innovation and inclusion.

You will influence long-term technology strategy, scale software delivery, and ensure resilience and strategic alignment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
• At least 7 years of people management experience.
• At least 9 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture.
• At least 9 years of experience in enterprise architecture and design patterns.
• At least 9 years of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
• At least 9 years of experience in Data architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and grow multiple teams of product focused software engineers.
• Shape long-term technical strategy and architecture standards for enterprise platforms.
• Partner with senior engineering and business leaders to align product roadmaps with scalable technology capabilities.
• Drive talent strategy, ensuring succession planning, skill development, and equitable opportunity across engineering teams.
• Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of engineers on your team.
• Work with product managers to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios and develop market-driven application capabilities and customer experiences.
• Continuously improve software engineering practices.
• Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions.
