Job description

As a Senior Director in Pharmacometrics, this individual will be responsible for managing PMx support for multiple programs within one or more therapeutic focus areas of the development portfolio. The Senior Director is accountable for the successful and timely completion of all assignments, which encompass a broad range of deliverables aligned with corporate strategic goals. The role requires applying logistical and strategic initiatives, as well as incorporating innovative scientific approaches.

A typical day in this role might include:

  • Utilizing advanced PK/PD knowledge and strategic leadership skills to develop and implement analyses supporting research and development projects.
  • Adapting plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
  • Ensuring proper application of PMx and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship within the function and across the organization.
  • Evaluating PK/PD of a portfolio of products or projects, including highly complex projects with broad scope.
  • Anticipating and assessing scientific, business, and regulatory challenges, and recommending solutions.
  • Identifying opportunities for process, product, or service improvements.
  • Solving complex problems with broad business impact.
  • Influencing across the organization, including individual contributors, development teams, and functional managers.

This role might be for you if:

  • You have 10+ years of industry experience with a Ph.D. or 12+ years with an M.S., focusing on modeling, simulation, PK/PD, systems pharmacology, and quantitative drug development.
  • You are recognized as an expert within and outside the organization.
  • You are a seasoned scientist with a demonstrated impact and ability to influence change.
  • You contribute to multidisciplinary meetings with cross-functional skills and knowledge.
  • You possess strong collaborative skills and can build alliances across functions.
  • You can influence colleagues and project teams effectively.
  • You can handle diverse projects, leverage higher-level staff, and work with ambiguity.
  • You work with senior management to resolve issues and initiate new areas, including engaging consultants for new initiatives.
