Job summary

You will work with Project Managers and Leaders to ensure safe, profitable, on-schedule outcomes and uphold Thompson Engineering's quality standards.

The role focuses on mentoring staff, strengthening client relationships, and guiding project assurance, risk management and growth initiatives, reporting to the Business Unit Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in engineering, project management, delivery, and client relationships.
• PE license required; ability to obtain licensure in additional states.
• Experience serving municipal, governmental, commercial, industrial, or federal clients.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee delivery of a portfolio of projects across multiple markets.
• Mentor Project Managers and promote standard project management practices.
• Guide risk management, budgeting, scheduling and scope control.
• Maintain senior client relationships and pursue growth opportunities.
• Ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across projects.
