Job summary

Astrana Health is seeking a Senior Director – Provider Contracting in Monterey Park, CA. This hybrid role requires in-office presence 2–3 days in Monterey Park and some time in Orange, with weekly remote work. You will help develop managed care contracting strategies, negotiate with payors, and oversee contract management.

You will lead a team across DOFRs, amendments, and CAPs, ensuring compliant, optimized contracts while supporting organizational goals and provider relationships.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field.
• 7+ years of healthcare contracting experience, including hospital contracting.
• Experience with managed care, risk-based provider contracting, and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee provider contracting strategies aligned with growth, compliance, and cost-control.
• Provide executive-level guidance on payer and provider contracting initiatives.
• Lead and oversee DOFRs, contract amendments, RFPs, and CAPs with Health Plans.
• Manage timelines and ensure compliance across contracting initiatives.
• Issue-spot and mitigate contractual risk in provider and payer agreements.
