Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Director of Product Security to lead the architecture and implementation of security features across our AI systems, command platforms, aerospace vehicles, and long range sensors.

You will drive the security strategy, mentor security and engineering teams, perform architecture reviews, and collaborate with product teams to build resilient, mission‑critical systems for contested environments.

Qualifications

• Experience securing embedded/cyber-physical systems and leading security engineering teams.
• Strong strategic vision with hands-on security architecture and implementation.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages (C/C++, Golang, Python).
• Experience assessing security of firmware, applications, network, IoT, or embedded systems.
• Familiarity with anti-tamper and reverse engineering mechanisms.

• Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for Anduril executives and partners on product security.

ABOUT THE JOB

We’re seeking a Director of Product Security to lead the architecture and implementation of critical features within our products, and adjacent to our products, to ultimately secure our suite of advanced technologies including artificial intelligence systems, command and control platforms, aerospace vehicles, and long range sensors. You will be responsible for leading the technical security strategy and implementation across integrated software and robotics platforms, ensuring mission assurance through hands-on security architecture and engineering leadership.

We take security seriously – this team is responsible for delivering secure products to our war fighters. This is not a typical AppSec role—Anduril’s Product Security team enables the business to secure autonomous systems, AI models running on edge hardware, and robotic platforms that operate in contested environments.

The ideal candidate has a background in electrical or software engineering, with a focus on platform security. They will be able to conduct complex security architecture reviews, research and mitigate exploits against hardware and software, and implement critical features in collaboration with other engineering teams to build resiliency into our products.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Own the development and maturation of the security roadmap across the spectrum of Anduril business lines and products
• Lead teams within the Product Security org and partner teams to ensure Anduril products are resilient enough to survive against modern cyber threats
• Collaborate and build solutions with engineering teams to meet and exceed industry-standard security goals and further the commercial state of the art.
• Build a strong partnership with Anduril’s engineering teams to develop and execute against a well aligned roadmap that covers Anduril’s portfolio globally
• Engage with teams to remediate uncovered weakness in designs, implementations, integrations, and processes
• Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for Anduril executives and our partners on the security of Anduril products and security
• Own processes that includes both pre-market and post-market processes engineering teams leverage throughout the product development lifecycle

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience securing embedded/cyber‑physical systems, leading security engineering teams, and operating in environments where security failures have real‑world consequences
• Possesses both strategic vision and technical depth, maintaining active involvement in security architecture and implementation
• Proficient with one or more programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Golang, Rust, Python)
• Experience assessing security of firmware, applications, network, IoT, or embedded systems
• Experience developing features for and improving security of firmware, applications, network, or embedded systems
• Familiarity with anti‑tamper and reverse engineering mechanisms
• Experience in platform security engineering and secure SDLC implementation
• Strong and professional communication skills (written and verbal)
• Demonstrated commitment to practical, mission‑enabling security solutions
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Familiarity with security architectures of embedded, aerospace, or cyber‑physical systems
• Experience building, testing, and delivering production‑ready systems, especially for embedded and/or Linux systems
• Experience with programmable logic devices and their development tools
• Knowledge of cyber threat actors, their TTPs, and their implications for weapon and space system operations
• Regularly builds, tests, and delivers production‑ready systems, especially for embedded and/or Linux systems
• Experience securing complex, AI‑native systems
• Experience conducting incident response in cloud systems and embedded systems

U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data.

US Salary Range

$253,000-$336,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
