This opportunity is with a leading global BioPharmaceutical organisation currently launching a state-of-the-art development and manufacturing site in the U.S. The facility will serve as an innovation hub for scaling both small and large molecule programs from development to clinical trial supply, supporting cutting-edge process and product launches. The site integrates early development, technical transfer, and GMP operations in a unified space to drive speed, quality, and flexibility.

The Opportunity

We are urgently seeking a Senior Director – Process Translation & Execution to take full ownership of process transfer and GMP execution at this new clinical development facility. This role is critical to ensuring the successful translation of early-phase programs - spanning small molecule and biologics - into compliant, scalable clinical manufacturing.

You will serve as a key member of the site leadership team and be responsible for hiring, shaping, and leading a large technical department as the facility moves through commissioning, startup, and into steady-state operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and lead all technical transfers into the site across small molecule, biologics, and hybrid platforms.
• Oversee process translation, lab demonstration trials, GMP batch execution, deviation management, and documentation.
• Build and lead a new, high-impact department from the ground up, including hiring, team development, and technical oversight.
• Ensure all processes are compliant with global GMP standards and in a validated state for clinical manufacturing.
• Partner cross-functionally with R&D, quality, manufacturing, and external development partners to drive project success.
• Drive the creation of batch records, cleaning strategies, and campaign reporting.
• Contribute to site strategic planning and provide input to site-wide systems and capability building.

Ideal Profile

• Extensive big pharma experience in technical operations, MS&T, or process development.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional tech transfer projects for both small and large molecules.
• 8+ years in pharmaceutical or biotech environments with at least 3+ years of people leadership.
• Deep understanding of cGMP requirements, process validation, and clinical trial material production.
• Experience building technical teams and departments in scaling or start-up settings is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, or related life sciences field.
• This is a high-priority, business-critical hire with active interview activity underway.
• Relocation to the Indianapolis area is required – support will be provided for the right candidate.
• U.S. work authorisation is required.
