Job summary

Origis Energy is seeking a Senior Director of Pre-Construction to lead early-stage estimating, cost forecasting and scheduling. This role reports to the Sr. VP of Engineering and Project Delivery and sits within the EPC Team focused on transitioning projects from development to EPC execution.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in project planning, scheduling, forecasting and estimation.
• Utility scale solar and BESS project experience required.
• Travel as needed to support Pre-Construction site visits and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Hire, mentor, manage and support Pre-construction Managers and Scheduling Managers
• Accountable for EPC budgets and schedules from early-stage Development through EPC contract execution
• Develop EPC cost estimates and schedules to support Origination and Investment teams
• Coordinate with Supply Chain to evaluate equipment offerings
• Work with Project Development on real estate, permitting, constructability and interconnection
• Provide direction to external engineers for early-stage studies and permitting
• Maintain EPC pipeline schedule with development status
• Identify resource needs, risks and mitigation in preconstruction
• Communicate milestones with internal and external stakeholders
• Lead EPC negotiations to align with cost, schedule and targets
• Lead kickoff meetings to transition projects to Project Management and Construction teams
• Support project financing process
• Coordinate with Project Controls on costs and risks
• Capture lessons learned to inform future estimates
