The Sr Director, Portfolio Management is responsible for optimizing the organization’s account management practices while also growing a portfolio of existing national multi-dimensional, million-dollar+ corporate relationships. These relationships are critical to ACS’s growth—advancing mission efforts, customer engagement, relevancy, and revenue.

This role manages a team of 3 Strategic Directors, Account Management, and is responsible for a percentage of growth based on current contracts (TBD once portfolio is identified). It requires influencing and collaborating with diverse internal stakeholders to develop account management practices for each account, focusing on mission impact and revenue growth.

The role demands knowledge of sales, marketing, foundation, sustainability, HR, procurement, and benefits to develop partnerships. It also involves working with regional and divisional teams to implement best account management practices. The role interacts with external CEOs and internal senior leaders to assess and deepen mutually beneficial collaborations.

This position is remote in the United States, with a high preference for candidates residing on the West Coast.

Major Responsibilities
  1. Deliver revenue growth for the assigned portfolio.
  2. Manage budget considerations, ensuring financial and impact objectives are met.
  3. Monitor impact performance and make data-driven improvements.
  4. Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  5. Analyze industry trends and competitive landscape.
  6. Develop and implement a portfolio strategy aligned with ACS and partner goals.
  7. Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  8. Develop enterprise-wide account management practices.
  9. Measure key metrics to ensure account plan effectiveness.
  10. Lead high-level negotiations with accounts.
  11. Collaborate with regional account managers.
  12. Engage cross-functional teams for account plans.
  13. Work with various ACS departments to align mission and revenue priorities.
  14. Develop executive presentations for account strategies.
  15. Support tools development with the Corporate Operations team.
  16. Lead and develop direct reports to grow portfolio revenue and impact.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of account management leadership experience.
  • Experience across industries is preferred.

  • Proven success in account management, ideally in non-profit or related fields.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Deep understanding of portfolio management and contract negotiations.
  • Strong financial acumen and strategic thinking.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible, entrepreneurial mindset with project management capabilities.
Other Requirements
  • Ability to travel as needed.
