Job summary

Archer, in collaboration with BNY, seeks a Senior Director, Business Information Security Officer (BISO) to join our Cyber Security Team in NYC or Washington DC. The BISO will embed cyber security, risk management, and regulatory readiness into platform strategy and delivery.

Reporting to the International CISO, you will partner with platform leadership, engineering, legal, risk and client teams to oversee security posture, risk registers and remediation, while advocating secure transformation

Qualifications

• 15+ years in information security or related technology.
• Experience in securities/financial services is a plus.
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Ability to translate cyber risk into business impact and options.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior cyber security lead for an assigned platform.
• Serve as primary security advisor to platform leadership.
• Own and maintain the platform cyber risk register and remediation.
• Drive remediation with technology, engineering and operations.
• Translate findings into concise business impact statements for leaders.
• Partner with security architecture and engineering teams to secure changes.
• Engage early in platform strategy and delivery forums.
• Provide leadership during cyber incidents affecting the platform.
• Act as senior contact for audits, regulatory examinations and client reviews.
• Oversee evidence and remediation for security findings and regulatory needs.
• Establish regular cyber health reporting and executive updates.
• Influence risk acceptance and remediation planning with pragmatic judgment.
• Build trusted relationships across leadership and control functions.
• Engage with clients on cyber posture, controls and resilience.
