Job summary

BNY Mellon seeks a Senior Director, Business Information Security Officer (BISO) to embed cyber security, risk management, resilience and regulatory readiness into platform strategy, operations and change delivery. Reporting to the International CISO, this role partners across platform leadership, engineering, risk and compliance to secure transformation and protect clients and data.

The BISO will own risk registers, drive remediation, communicate risk posture to senior leaders and influence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
• Extensive senior experience in cyber security and cyber risk management within regulated environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior cyber security lead for an assigned platform, aligning security priorities to platform objectives and risk profile.
• Serve as the primary security advisor to platform leadership, providing guidance on threats, control effectiveness and risk posture.
• Own and maintain the platform cyber risk register; identify, assess, prioritize and manage material risks and vulnerabilities.
• Drive remediation of high-priority cyber risks in partnership with technology, engineering and operations teams.
• Translate technical findings into concise business impact statements and actionable decisions for senior leaders.
• Partner with security architecture and engineering teams to ensure products and changes are secure by design.
• Engage early in platform strategy and delivery forums to address cyber requirements proactively.
• Provide leadership during cyber incidents affecting the platform and coordinate with response teams.
