Job summary

Idyllwild Arts Foundation seeks a highly accomplished Director of Development to deepen donor relationships, guide major gifts, and lead an ambitious fundraising program. The role reports to the Senior Vice President, Advancement and requires a hands-on, externally oriented leadership style in a residential, globally diverse boarding-school community.

The position is Southern California-based with hybrid work and regular on-campus presence in Idyllwild, CA, plus regional and national donor

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of progressively responsible development experience with proven success in securing major gifts.
• Experience leading or mentoring development colleagues and translating revenue goals into actionable plans.

Responsibilities

• Manage a qualified portfolio of major- and leadership-gift prospects, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, negotiation, closing, and stewardship.
• Lead the annual fundraising plan in collaboration with senior leadership, including strategy, calendar, campaigns, donor retention and upgrade opportunities.
• Develop parent and family philanthropy and coordinate with Enrollment and school leadership to engage diverse communities.
