Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota seeks a Senior Director of Pharmacy to serve as the strategic liaison between pharmacy, sales and network teams, leading a high‑performing pharmacy group. You will evaluate RFP opportunities, ensure viable, competitive, and cost‑effective solutions, and strengthen partnerships with PBM and network partners.

Hybrid role in Minnesota requiring PharmD or R.Ph., 7+ years in health services with 3+ in management, and extensive experience in pharmacy operations

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Registered Pharmacist (R.Ph.) required.
• 7+ years health services experience with 3+ years in management.
• Pharmacy operations knowledge including PBM, health plan, retail, specialty, or medical pharmacy.
• Experience triaging and resolving inquiries related to claims and benefits.
• Experience with Commercial, Medicare, and/or Medicaid.
• Pharmacy quality measurement knowledge (e.g. Star Ratings, HEDIS).

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic liaison between pharmacy, sales, and network teams.
• Evaluate pharmacy-related RFPs for viability, profitability, competitiveness, and operational feasibility.
• Develop and evaluate strategies to help groups with total cost of care and push back on unprofitable requests.
• Partner with Sales to shape pharmacy products and solutions for clients and members.
• Lead Network Liaison and solution framework leadership.
• Review analytics and utilization data to guide program performance.
• Deliver group-level reporting of spend, program performance, and impact.
