Merck is seeking a Senior Director, Team Lead for U.S. Medical Affairs (USMA) - Payer & Health Systems. You will lead a field-based team of PHS Medical Affairs Directors, shape strategic plans, drive cross-functional collaboration, and ensure compliant, high-impact medical activities across payer accounts.

The role requires deep health-systems experience, leadership excellence, and an AI-enabled mindset with a strong track record in managing complex portfolios and stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Advanced health-care/science doctoral degree (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD).
• Three (3) years in customer-facing, field medical-affairs role or relevant experience.
• Thorough understanding of U.S. regulatory entity and ethical guidelines for pharma.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages a team of field-based health systems Medical Affairs professionals.
• Oversees portfolio product launches and in-line medical affairs plans.
• Provides insights to HQ from internal and external stakeholders across the health-systems continuum.
• Ensures compliance with regulations and company policies in the field.
