An established industry player is seeking a Senior Director of Patent Prosecution to lead global patent efforts. Position Overview:Reporting to the Vice President, Intellectual Property Litigation and Strategy, this attorney will bring exceptional patent preparation and prosecution skills and will manage Intuitive’s global patent prosecution efforts. In addition to providing business-centric legal advice, the Senior Director, Patent Prosecution will develop, manage, and execute comprehensive patent protection strategies for the Company’s portfolio of products.
Experience:The successful candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of patent preparation and prosecution experience, and a mechanical engineering or applied physics background. Ideally, this Senior Director will have both law firm and in-house experience, but law firm candidates are welcome to apply.
Location:This role will be based in Sunnyvale, CA and will be on-site a minimum of 3 days/week. Relocation assistance is available.
Compensation: $280,100 - $420,100 + 35% bonus + significant equity eligibility.
Bar:Candidates must be a member of the California State Bar or otherwise qualified to practice law in California as registered in-house counsel. Candidates must also be admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
