Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Senior Director of Optical Communications Terminals in Washington state. You will lead the architecture, development, qualification, production, and deployment of TeraWave optical terminals, owning end-to-end technical and execution performance across multiple engineering domains.

The role reports to the VP of Payloads and Terminals and partners with spacecraft, ground systems, and supply chain teams to ensure scalable, reliable systems and manufacturable designs.

  • Define interfaces between terminal, spacecraft, ground, and network; ensure manufacturability and reliability.

This multi-orbit constellation will consist of optically interconnected satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) and medium Earth orbit (MEO), providing enterprise-grade connectivity for critical operations worldwide.About the RoleThe Senior Director, Optical Communications Terminals leads the multidisciplinary engineering organization responsible for the architecture, development, qualification, production, and deployment of TeraWave optical communications terminals.
