Job summary

Bicara Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Director, Competitive Intelligence and Product Planning to lead CI and pipeline strategy for the oncology program, including ficerafusp alfa (BCA101). Based in Boston with a hybrid schedule, this role partners with cross-functional teams to inform decisions and pre-launch readiness.

The ideal candidate has deep oncology experience, 12+ years in pharma/biotech, and a track record of translating competitive insights into actionable plans for governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, science, or quantitative discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 12 years in pharma/biotech with CI, product strategy, or pipeline planning experience.
• Experience advising senior leadership and cross-functional governance on portfolio opportunities.
• Deep understanding of CI methods and oncology drug development.
• Ability to translate data and signals into actionable strategic implications.

Responsibilities

• Lead CI across ficerafusp alfa and future oncology assets to inform development, commercialization, and leadership decisions.
• Partner with stakeholders to define priority competitive questions and align outputs to key decisions.
• Design CI monitoring programs for pipeline development, indication prioritization, and launch sequencing.
• Synthesize congresses, trials, regulatory events, publications, and disclosures into competitive insights.
• Lead scenario planning and workshops to prepare teams for competitor actions and regulatory milestones.
• Build product planning capabilities for target product profiles, launch readiness, and lifecycle planning.
• Translate competitive dynamics into product plans and governance-ready recommendations.
• Communicate insights to senior leadership through concise, executive-ready deliverables.
• Develop deep expertise in HPV-negative HNSCC and related markets; manage external CI partners.
