Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships
The Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships is responsible for the go-to-market (GTM) plan with key Advisory Firms that enable our sales organization to grow market share through strategic teaming, sales linkage, partner enablement and enterprise solutions that link the various systems that our customers deploy.
Overview
What You’ll Do
- Develop in-depth business plans in support of sales, enablement, marketing, etc. to expand the joint market opportunity.
- Identify and secure new target engagements and maintain a cadence to drive revenue with and through partner relationships.
- Identify target opportunities to complement and expand the reach and attractiveness of Workiva’s platform solution.
- Expand partner adoption by engaging with high-level executives and strategic thinkers across an organization.
- Understand partners’ end markets, use competitive insights to create actionable partner plans, and leverage product nuances into strategic recommendations to deliver success within vertical markets.
- Assist in the development and delivery of sales, technical, and solutions training to ensure partner stakeholders (GSIs, Partners) are equipped to market, position, and sell the Workiva Platform as an integrated solution.
- Identify new routes to market to extend the Workiva presence.
- Establish and maintain exceptional partner relationships with necessary partner stakeholders to design and execute initiatives that develop, manage, and drive revenue growth.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to execute key initiatives with partnerships, often leading or assisting sales teams in customer/prospect discussions with strategic partners.
- Build and execute business plans for establishing key partnerships to support revenue growth objectives; negotiate corporate-wide agreements with these strategic partners.
What You’ll Need
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of related experience in strategic partnerships and business development selling software and/or complex Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
- Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading alliances with Big 4 and/or Top Tier Consulting & Advisory firms (5 years+ with Deloitte preferred).
- The ability to work successfully in a high-energy, fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Thrives in a team environment, both internally and externally, and flexibility in work approach based on business needs.
- Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles.
- Superior communication skills and a strong background in strategic, consultative selling.
- Experience with multiple technological platforms and high technical acumen.
Travel Requirement & Working Conditions
- Up to 50% travel for meetings and events.
- Reliable internet access for remote work outside of a Workiva office.
How You’ll Be Rewarded
- On Target Earnings (OTE) range in the US: 257,000.00 - 417,000.00 USD annually.
- Eligible for commission based on sales performance.
- Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire.
