Job summary

This senior leadership position involves managing a team of 10–15 Project Accountants within the firm's architecture and engineering practice. The ideal candidate should possess significant experience in AEC project accounting and be proficient in Deltek VantagePoint or Vision.

The role requires strategic guidance on financial terms during contract negotiations and ensuring timely billing and revenue recognition across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of project accounting experience, including 3–5 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in a mid-to-large AEC firm with annual revenues exceeding $100 million.
• Strong background in all phases of AEC project accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 10–15 Project Accountants.
• Oversee project setup and contract administration in Deltek systems.
• Manage client invoicing and accounts receivable processes.

Skills

Expert-level proficiency in Deltek VantagePoint or Deltek Vision

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Experience with business intelligence or reporting tools

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

CPA or CMA designation
