in Phoenix, AZ seeks an experienced Director of Operations to provide leadership across our Arizona construction operations and guide growth and performance. Reporting directly to the President, this senior role oversees the operational and financial performance of multiple projects, develops our project teams, maintains client relationships, and ensures safety, quality, schedule and cost control.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive construction experience with leadership responsibility.
• Experience leading multiple projects and project teams.
• Strong understanding of project financials, forecasting, cost control and risk.
• Proven ability to lead and develop Project Managers, Superintendents and project staff.
• Experience developing and maintaining relationships with owners and clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership and oversight across multiple construction projects.
• Work with Project Managers and Superintendents to drive project execution.
• Maintain accountability for project financial performance, schedule, safety, quality and staffing.
• Review monthly project cost and revenue projections and support forecasting.
• Oversee manpower and equipment planning across projects.
• Develop relationships with owners, clients, subcontractors, architects and engineers.
• Support projects from preconstruction through completion and help resolve operational issues.
• Review and negotiate change orders and identify project risks.
• Partner with leadership on business development, proposals and preconstruction efforts.
• Mentor and lead Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Engineers and emerging leaders.
