Job summary

FPC of Savannah is seeking a Senior Director of Operations for its Phoenix site near the airport to scale operations from a job shop to a high-volume lean environment. The role emphasizes growth, leadership of a ~12-person core team with plans to triple in the next 3–5 years, and close alignment with customer delivery goals.

The position requires 7+ years in ops leadership within semiconductor or related industries, and experience with electromechanical assembly or UHP gas is a plus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of operations leadership in semiconductor or adjacent industries.
• Experience with electromechanical assembly or UHP gas knowledge.
• Willingness to relocate to Phoenix and/or currently in Phoenix.

Responsibilities

• Move to a building roughly double the size, ~5 miles from the current plant.
• Lead site with ~12 direct reports and ~50 total employees, with growth plans to triple in 3–5 years.
• Identify and monitor performance indicators, compare actuals to plan.
• Lead lean manufacturing implementation, execution, and continuous improvement.
• Meet or exceed customer delivery requirements while reducing lead-time and inventory.
• Foster employee engagement with a Go to Gemba mindset.

My client is seeking a Senior Director of Operations for their site in Phoenix, close to the airport.

Product is tied to supporting the semiconductor industry, and is in a phase of rapid growth & expansion! Incumbent who started the business & later sold it is retiring. We are looking for someone to help scale the operation from a job shop to more of a high-volume lean environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Plant is getting ready to move to a building double the size ~5miles from original plant


• Lead site of ~12 direct reports, ~50 total employees that will likely triple in the next 3-5yrs. Active hiring and adding Business development & Product development leadership to assist in driving this growth.


• Identify and monitor performance indicators, measuring actual vs. planned


• Lead lean manufacturing implementation, execution and continuous improvement


• Meet or exceed customer delivery requirements while continuing to reduce lead-time and inventory


• Heavy focus on employee engagement, with a \"Go to Gemba\" mindset

Requirements

• Currently in Phoenix, or willing to relocate


• 7+ years of ops leadership in the semiconductor or adjacent industry. Highly qualified candidates will also have electromechanical assembly/UHP gas knowledge
