Jobot seeks a Director of Mechanical Engineering & Design to provide strategic and technical leadership across complex mechanical infrastructure projects in the New York market. PE license and 15–20 years of MEP experience with 6–10+ years of leadership are required to drive design, planning, and execution of large-scale systems for diverse facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Active NY Professional Engineer license (PE) required.
• 15–20 years of experience in MEP engineering with 6–10+ years of leadership.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior authority on mechanical system and central plant design initiatives.
• Lead feasibility studies, conceptual development, and detailed engineering for central utility plants and energy systems.
• Oversee HVAC system design for large, complex facilities and maintain QA/QC standards.
• Direct multiple engagements, manage budgets, timelines, and client relationships.
• Mentor engineers and play an active role in recruiting and talent development.
• Support decarbonization, electrification, and sustainability initiatives.
