Job Overview

Position Status: Full Time

FLSA Status: Exempt

Pay Range & Benefits: $70,000-76,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid time off, health insurance, retirement plan with employer match, tuition and fitness reimbursement, and more.

Community Health Action of Staten Island (CHASI) aims to improve health outcomes for vulnerable populations through outreach, education, prevention, and support services, focusing on underserved communities including low-income, minority, LGBTQ, and those affected by health disparities.

Position Summary

The Senior Director oversees HIV care coordination programs, ensuring contractual compliance, staff management, and program effectiveness, focusing on linkage to care, retention, adherence, and viral suppression.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and oversee HIV services, ensuring fidelity to program models and outcomes.
  2. Monitor, report, and ensure quality assurance for programs.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to meet program targets.
  4. Lead daily operations and manage staff, including recruitment, supervision, and evaluation.
  5. Act as liaison with funders and represent CHASI in external forums.
  6. Create annual work plans aligned with funder objectives.
  7. Prepare reports for management and funders.
  8. Ensure compliance with policies and timely reporting.
  9. Collaborate with contract managers for program improvement.
  10. Participate in meetings, strategic planning, and committees.
  11. Align activities with CHASI’s mission and values.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree with 4+ years, Bachelor’s with 6+ years, or high school diploma with 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 2 years supervising staff and managing programs.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze reports, data, and regulations; excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database use.
  • Ability to respond in person within 2 hours for crises, if needed.
