About the Telecommunications Industry / The Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in the Communications industry, is seeking an experienced Sr. Director, Global Benefits to join their team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in designing and implementing innovative health care programs and strategies to enhance employee health and access to care. You will work within a dynamic environment, collaborating across multiple functions and overseeing enterprise-wide benefits initiatives that align with the company's mission of delivering exceptional employee value and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop health care strategies that align with business needs and Total Rewards objectives.
  • Create a multi-year roadmap to enhance access to care, improve health outcomes, and drive cost sustainability.
  • Provide oversight for health and welfare financial analysis, including forecasting and budget setting.
  • Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and HR teams to optimize program initiatives and resolve escalations.
  • Manage procurement cycles and negotiate contracts for self-insured medical and pharmacy services.
  • Build executive-level presentation materials and articulate complex topics to facilitate decision-making.
  • Lead strategic vendor management activities to ensure operational excellence.
  • Supervise team members supporting health care strategy, design, and vendor management.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 10+ years: Proven experience in global benefits strategy and plan design.
  • In-depth knowledge of self-insured medical and pharmacy plan administration.
  • Strong financial planning and forecasting expertise.
  • Ability to build strategic partnerships and manage vendor relationships effectively.
  • Exceptional leadership and executive presence.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with clinical ecosystem partners and healthcare solutions development.
  • Knowledge of employee wellbeing strategies across physical, emotional, and financial pillars.
  • Ability to develop data visualizations and concise business cases for senior leadership.
  • Familiarity with complex procurement cycles and contract negotiations.
  • Experience presenting at industry conferences and events.
