Job summary

Talcott Financial Group is seeking a Director of Derivative Accounting to lead accounting, reporting, and analysis for the company’s derivative portfolio. You will ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, U.S. STAT, and RSTAT, reviewing schedules and disclosures for quarterly and annual filings.

The role requires strong leadership, 7+ years in derivative accounting, and experience with Clearwater Analytics and Oracle. Collaboration across Finance, Treasury, Actuarial, and Risk teams is essential.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in derivative accounting or related financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 815/ ASC 820 and U.S. GAAP reporting.
  • Experience with investment schedules and regulatory filings a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting and reporting for the derivative portfolio including swaps, options, futures, and structured products.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, U.S. STAT, and RSTAT reporting requirements.
  • Review valuations, reconciliations, journal entries, and disclosures for financial statements.
  • Prepare and review investment-related schedules and regulatory exhibits for filings.
  • Develop management reporting and dashboards for senior management.
