Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; combined experience may be considered.
• 8 years of safety experience in construction, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
• Ability to lead teams, influence behavior, and implement change across projects; experience writing safety policies and training materials.
• Strong communication, investigation, conflict resolution, and coaching skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software; valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Conduct jobsite audits and hazard analyses for ongoing construction activities.
• Evaluate subcontractor safety plans for compliance with standards.
• Lead companywide safety meetings and workshops.
• Provide timely safety performance reporting to leadership.
• Review and approve JHAs, pre-task plans, and high-risk procedures.
• Collaborate with project leaders on site-specific safety strategies.
• Track safety metrics, leading indicators, and trends for continuous improvement.
• Serve as primary contact for OSHA during inspections or investigations.
• Ensure consistent application of safety policies across divisions.
