Job summary

The Linux Foundation's PyTorch Foundation is seeking a Senior Director of Community to lead and nurture a global developer ecosystem across PyTorch, vLLM, DeepSpeed, and related projects. You will shepherd community needs, drive technical discussions, and influence product direction with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in developer relations, strong AI/ML background, and proven ability to represent diverse developer communities at major conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in developer relations, technical community management, or similar roles.
• Strong technical background in AI/ML with hands-on development experience.
• Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience building relationships within technical communities.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to evaluate technical projects.
• Experience managing multiple communities or projects simultaneously.
• Familiar with open-source evaluation and growth strategies.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with researchers, developers, and engineers across Foundation projects.
• Facilitate technical discussions and knowledge sharing across project communities.
• Gather and prioritize community feedback for each project with engineering teams.
• Support community members in their technical journey with Foundation projects.
• Identify synergies between different project communities and evaluate new projects.
• Collaborate with Marketing for technical content and communications.
• Represent diverse community needs internally and in major conferences.
• Organize local meetups and participate in industry initiatives.
