Job summary

The University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing seeks an accomplished researcher and collaborative leader to serve as its next Associate Dean for Research (ADR). The ADR will be the senior research leader, directing strategy to advance research, scholarship, and external funding across the College.

Reporting to the Dean, the ADR represents the College within UNMC and the University of Nebraska system, mentoring faculty and PhD students, strengthening grant development, and expanding

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree required and authorization for Graduate Faculty status.
• Strong record of externally funded research and peer-reviewed scholarship.
• Experience leading research programs, mentoring faculty, and developing grant strategy.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for advancing research, scholarship, and external funding in the College of Nursing.
• Mentor faculty and PhD students; facilitate interdisciplinary research and grant development.
• Oversee NNRC infrastructure, budgeting, proposal development, and policy compliance.
• Represent the College within UNMC and the University of Nebraska system on research matters.
