Ur-Energy, located in Casper, Wyoming, seeks a Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance to lead permitting strategies, regulatory affairs, and reclamation programs for ISR and conventional uranium operations. You will secure, maintain, and defend federal, state, and local licenses and oversee groundwater restoration and decommissioning efforts.

• 10+ years of progressive experience in environmental or nuclear regulatory affairs, with significant experience in uranium recovery, mining, or the nuclear fuel cycle.
• Direct experience with NRC licensing and Agreement State programs, including a working knowledge of the Atomic Energy Act.
• Experience with EPA Underground Injection Control (UIC) Class III permitting and aquifer exemptions.
• A track record of leading multi-year permitting programs for capital-intensive projects, including budget and staff oversight.

Responsabilidades

• Help develop multi-year permitting and licensing roadmaps for ISR and conventional uranium operations, aligned with corporate growth and capital plans.
• Prepare and submit permit applications, environmental impact assessments, and technical reports to state and federal agencies.
• Own the environmental and permitting basis (assumptions, data, analyses, and mitigation commitments) and keep it consistent across all submittals.
• Make sure permitting products are complete, defensible, and traceable to engineering and site characterization data.
• Track proposed federal and state rules and policies affecting uranium recovery and the nuclear fuel supply chain, and draft formal comments on them.
• Lead agency engagement strategy and support senior leadership in high-visibility regulatory meetings.
• Lead long-term reclamation and decommissioning plans, including groundwater restoration.
• Advise executive leadership on regulatory risk, permitting schedules, reclamation liability, and policy changes.
• Work with Geology, Engineering, Health Physics, Operations, and Legal to keep operations aligned with license conditions.
