Job summary

DISA Uranium seeks a Director of Regulatory Affairs to manage licensing, permitting, and compliance for uranium remediation and related operations. You will coordinate with NRC, state regulators, and other agencies while leading safety programs and licensing efforts across a dynamic environment.

The role requires extensive experience in radioactive materials licenses, regulatory interpretation, and project leadership, with a start-up mindset and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, Health Physics, or related field.
• 10+ years in permitting, licensing, compliance, or project management within uranium mining/milling or related industries.
• Experience interpreting NRC or Agreement State regulations.
• Experience with radioactive materials licenses and mining permits.
• Interfacing with NRC, DOE, EPA, and state regulators.
• Knowledge of RESRAD and MILDOS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve radiation safety and environmental compliance programs.
• Prepare, submit, and track license applications and amendments.
• Coordinate with state and federal agencies for timely approvals and compliance.
• Serve as radiation safety officer on at least one DISA license.
• Lead licensing milestones and communicate progress to leadership.
• Support site characterization for future licensing and investments.
