The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Director, Microsoft & Strategic Technology Partnerships to lead and operationalize Napster’s global Microsoft relationship.

Microsoft is the primary focus of this role.

We are specifically looking for someone with 10+ years of experience working with Microsoft, at Microsoft, or deeply within the Microsoft ecosystem, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Marketplace, co-sell, field motions, product, engineering, and partner organizations.

This is a highly operational and process-driven role. The successful candidate will turn the Microsoft relationship into a structured global program with clear workstreams, owners, milestones, KPIs, trackers, governance, and accountability.

You must be able to operate across both the commercial and technical sides of Microsoft, manage complex stakeholders globally, and ensure priorities move from discussion into execution.

Over time, the remit may expand to other hyperscalers and strategic technology partners.

What You Will Own
  • Build and manage the global operating model for the Microsoft partnership.
  • Define clear workstreams across Marketplace, co-sell, field activation, product, engineering, ecosystem, and customer opportunities.
  • Translate strategy into structured programs with milestones, owners, dependencies, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Maintain central trackers, dashboards, and reporting across Microsoft initiatives.
  • Establish weekly, monthly, and quarterly governance and operating cadences.
  • Drive accountability, follow-up, escalation, and resolution of blockers.
  • Lead Microsoft Marketplace and co-sell programs, including account mapping, opportunity registration, seller engagement, and pipeline tracking.
  • Build strong relationships across Microsoft commercial, partner, product, engineering, marketplace, and executive teams.
  • Connect Napster Product and Engineering teams with the right Microsoft stakeholders.
  • Track joint technical priorities, integrations, dependencies, and delivery milestones.
  • Build repeatable field activation and customer engagement motions.
  • Coordinate Microsoft priorities across Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Channel, and Partnerships.
  • Provide structured executive reporting on progress, risks, opportunities, and decisions required.
  • Over time, apply the same operating model to additional strategic technology partners.
Who We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will bring:

  • 15+ years of experience working with Microsoft, at Microsoft, or in roles where Microsoft has been a significant strategic responsibility.
  • Deep understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem across commercial, partner, product, engineering, and technical teams.
  • A strong, active, and credible Microsoft network.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Marketplace and co-sell.
  • Strong program management and operating-model experience.
  • Proven ability to build structured programs, trackers, governance, KPIs, and executive reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills across complex global organizations.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, dependencies, risks, and milestones simultaneously.
  • Strong commercial understanding across pipeline, customer opportunities, marketplace transactions, and revenue.
  • Strong technical fluency across cloud, APIs, integrations, architecture, and product dependencies.
  • Ability to engage credibly with Microsoft sellers, product leaders, architects, engineers, and executives.
  • Strong executive communication and ability to influence without direct authority.
  • A highly organized, hands-on, and execution-focused working style.

This is not simply a relationship-management role.

We need someone who can build the operating structure around Microsoft, keep teams aligned, manage milestones and dependencies, and turn the partnership into measurable commercial and technical outcomes.

Location & Global Scope

This is global role, based in either:

  • Eastern U.S., or
  • Europe

The person must be comfortable operating across global time zones, particularly between Europe and the United States.

Travel will be required for Microsoft meetings, customer engagements, events, and executive sessions.

What Success Looks Like

Success means:

  • A clear global Microsoft operating model with defined lanes, owners, KPIs, and governance.
  • Strong trackers and visibility across priorities, milestones, blockers, and outcomes.
  • A repeatable Marketplace and co-sell motion generating measurable pipeline.
  • Strong stakeholder alignment across Microsoft and Napster.
  • Structured product and engineering workstreams with clear delivery milestones.
  • Measurable commercial impact through customer opportunities, Marketplace activity, pipeline, and revenue.
  • A model that can eventually scale to other hyperscalers and strategic technology partners.

Napster embraces a diversity of backgrounds and experiences and provides equal opportunity for all applicants and employees.

  • Impact: Play a crucial role in our growth journey.
  • Culture: Join a vibrant team valuing creativity and collaboration.
