Job summary

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. seeks a seasoned in-house counsel to advise on marketing and advertising matters, review promotions and contests, and draft or negotiate agency and other marketing agreements.

The role reports to the SVP, General Counsel and focuses on US compliance, FTC issues, social media policy, and risk management across print, digital, PoP, and press materials. This role requires extensive experience in advertising/marketing law, strong negotiation skills, and a track

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of legal experience, preferably with advertising/marketing focus.
• Counsel on promotions, rebates, social media, and consumer marketing issues.
• Experience drafting and negotiating related agreements is required.
• Familiarity with FTC/NAD is a plus.
• In-house counsel experience and bar admission in at least one state.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast turnaround guidance on marketing materials across PoP, print, digital, social, experiential and press releases.
• Draft, review, and negotiate advertising/marketing agreements, agency agreements, and related contracts.
• Offer real-time guidance on social media, FTC regulations, and website/eCommerce issues.
• Collaborate with marketers and North American HQ on contract matters and audits as needed.
• Advise SEA on US compliance for product launches and marketing campaigns.
