Zusammenfassung

Trustees of Thayer Academy seeks an experienced, strategic Director of Major Gifts and Planned Giving to lead and grow its major gifts and planned giving programs. Reporting to the Chief Advancement & Engagement Officer, the Director will play a key role in Thayer’s upcoming $60 million comprehensive campaign and 150th anniversary.

Manage a portfolio of 80–100 prospects capable of $25,000+ gifts, develop compelling proposals, and drive the donor pipeline to secure upwards of $1 million annually.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
• Seven+ years of professional fundraising experience with high-capacity donors.
• Proven track record in major gifts and planned giving.
• Experience with independent schools, colleges/universities, or similar nonprofit environments preferred.
• Strong moves management, donor stewardship, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with Raiser's Edge and fundraising software.

Aufgaben

• Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects.
• Manage portfolio of ~100 major gift prospects with in-person visits.
• Develop compelling proposals for major gifts and multi-year commitments.
• Lead and expand planned giving programs and bequests opportunities.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure donor stewardship and data integrity in Raiser's Edge.
• Support campaign strategy and donor engagement metrics.
• Mentor frontline fundraisers and lead a fundraising team.
• Travel as needed and attend events.
