Gibel & Associates Inc. seeks a seasoned Head of Loan Review – Americas in New York to lead the independent review of the U.S. loan portfolio and advance risk-based review programs.

You will oversee methodologies, policy adherence, and regulatory alignment while developing the team and communicating findings to senior management. This is a senior leadership role requiring 10–15 years in banking or credit risk review, with strong knowledge across CRE, oil & gas, project finance, and large

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of banking and credit experience, with substantive loan review/credit risk review exposure.
• Experience leading a loan review function and developing risk-based programs.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and specialized lending (CRE, oil & gas, project finance, C&I, large corporate).
• Proven ability to communicate independent credit conclusions to senior management and governance committees.

Responsabilités

• Lead independent review of the U.S. loan portfolio and assess credit risk identification and underwriting.
• Develop and maintain loan review policies, methodologies, and risk-based standards.
• Evaluate risk ratings, documentation, collateral, and covenant compliance.
• Review origination, underwriting, portfolio management, and workout practices for emerging risks.
• Prepare clear independent loan review reports and monitor corrective actions.
• Lead, staff, train, and develop the Loan Review team to ensure coverage and quality.
• Maintain independence and support regulatory examinations.
