Lilly Ventures seeks a Senior Director to lead the group's strategy, sourcing novel software and services investments, conducting due diligence, and executing transactions. The role requires 4+ years in healthcare/life sciences VC, strong financial and negotiation skills, and the ability to influence across Lilly’s global organization. Travel approx.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years venture capital experience in healthcare or life sciences.
• Experience with direct equity investments, due diligence, and transactions.
• High emotional intelligence with collaboration across levels.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a strong team culture: coach and mentor team members and foster Diversity & Inclusion.
• Investing in novel innovations: identify, propose, and execute direct equity investments in early-stage life sciences and health tech software and services.
• Strengthen Lilly’s external network: build relationships with startups, venture funds, incubators, and health systems.
• Be an agent for change: drive innovative thinking across business units and anticipate market evolution to gain competitive advantage.
