Senior Director – IT and Cloud Infrastructure

Our client is looking for a seasoned tech leader with a proven track record of expertly managing complex technology operations including IT Group Business Services, enterprise systems, managed services and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities:

• Direct the strategy and operations of technology infrastructures including networks, systems and applications to ensure high availability, reliability and performance via effective maintenance and lifecycle management.
• Define and enforce enterprise-wide technology architecture standards to ensure scalability, security and interoperability across all systems and platforms.
• Develop and articulate a comprehensive technology vision and strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives to anticipate future trends and proactively identify opportunities for technological innovation.
• Define scope of services and design optimal shared service models to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of critical technology-enabled services across all business units including the setup of necessary frameworks, processes and teams to drive continuous improvement, the enhancement of service quality and the maximization of value derived from our internal IT service delivery capabilities.
• Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks for all managed services engagements to ensure vendor performance, cost-effectiveness and seamless integration with internal systems.
• Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies, policies and procedures to protect our assets, data and reputation from evolving threats.
• Build, mentor and lead a high-performing technology organization to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous learning.
• Develop and manage the technology budget to ensure resources are allocated effectively and aligned with strategic priorities.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key technology vendors to negotiate contracts and ensure value for money.
• Identify and mitigate technology-related risks to ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.

Requirements:

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science/Engineering or related fields with at least 20 years of relevant working experience and a proven track record of leading technology teams at a group-level and/or regional/global capacities.
• Demonstrable experience in managing IT Group Business Services functions within an MNC or similar complex and large-scale enterprise organizations – experience in the retail sector would be an added advantage.
• Proven track record in managing and optimizing IT infrastructures and operations with strong understanding and hands-on experience in IT network and cybersecurity domains.
• Extensive experience to full-cloud IT environments required – ideally GCP but AWS and Azure cloud experiences may also be considered.
• Strong understanding and exposure to enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
