Job summary

HarbourVest Partners in the United States is seeking a Director of Investment Data and Analytics to lead end-to-end data platform work. You will design pipelines, mentor engineers, and partner with investment teams to translate complex problems into scalable data solutions.

The role requires hands-on data engineering depth, production systems experience, and leading architectural decisions. This is a hybrid position with a competitive total rewards package.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data engineering and software delivery experience.
• 3-5 years of technical project leadership experience, partnering with investment, finance or operations teams.
• Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Data engineering: design and delivery of pipelines and data models across financial/economic datasets.
• Infrastructure/platform engineering: build-out of reliable cloud data systems for investment workflows.
• Data quality: establish standards for accuracy, lineage, observability, and SLAs.
• Technical leadership: mentor engineers, lead design and code reviews, raise engineering bar.
• Collaborate with investors and researchers to translate investment problems into scalable solutions.
