Job summary

Beacon Building Products in Honolulu, HI is seeking a Senior Director, Inventory Planning and Replenishment to lead centralized purchasing, demand forecasting, and working capital optimization across the network.

You will drive inventory profiling, PO accuracy, and process improvements while collaborating with the Division President and regional teams to shape strategy and improve inventory performance, service levels, and profitability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 12+ years of purchasing/sourcing experience, preferably in wholesale distribution; building products experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Demand/Supply Planning platforms.
  • Proven leadership of large, diverse teams; 10+ years preferred.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt preferred; Green Belt or equivalent considered.
  • Strong project management skills; PMP or CAMP certification a plus.
  • Demonstrated adaptability in changing environments with a high tolerance for ambiguity.
  • Effective in a matrixed environment; capable of influencing all organizational levels and driving change.
  • Solid quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, with financial acumen and knowledge of contract language.
  • Strategic sourcing experience, including forecasting and change management.
  • Ability to think and act strategically while being hands-on in purchasing functions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and expand centralized buying activities, measuring success, and leveraging relationships to support field locations.
  • Oversee inventory profiling based on demand forecasts and working capital requirements.
  • Ensure purchase order accuracy and improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Division President and Regional Teams to refine and develop strategy.
  • Identify, negotiate, and track buying opportunities aligned with company strategy.
  • Promote and drive the preferred use of the Beacon Exclusive Brand, TRI‑BUILT.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, sales, operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate achievement of key metrics, including sales and inventory goals.
  • Implement company-wide process improvements.
  • Lead daily cycle count and annual physical inventory processes, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
