Job summary

Aon seeks a Sr. Director of Internal Consulting to lead central initiatives, driving a multi-year strategic overhaul of the Operating Model. The role reports to ABS leadership and guides internal consulting and program management teams to transform how the enterprise delivers value.

The position is open as Virtual or Hybrid in Central or Eastern Time Zone, with broad engagement across Solution Lines, Regions, and Functions. Strong leadership and governance are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Technology, or related field; MBA or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in management consulting or internal strategy/consulting at director level or above.
• Experience leading multi-workstream operating model transformations in a global matrixed organization.
• Experience in professional services, insurance, or financial services environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic leadership and vision for operating model transformation across the organization.
• Own end-to-end diagnostic, build, and transition of the target operating model across units and regions.
• Advise executives with a structured consulting approach and clear roadmaps.
• Develop and validate arguments for operating model changes including financial, operational, and qualitative benefits.
• Be responsible for governance, pilots, scaling strategies, and alignment with needs across regions and functions.
• Lead and mentor internal consultants and analysts to diagnose challenges and implement solutions.
