Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Director, Legal – Critical Infrastructure to lead end-to-end contracting for US data center campuses, from term sheet to closeout. This hands-on role covers construction, design, major equipment supply, O&M, real estate, and power, reporting to the VP, Legal.

You will negotiate directly with major counterparties, coordinate with external counsel, and apply consistent commercial and legal positions across jurisdictions while supporting fast-paced project delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction and infrastructure legal experience, in-house or at a top-tier firm.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation of owner-contractor, EPC, and design-build agreements for US data center campuses.
• Draft and negotiate design, consultancy, supply, and O&M agreements.
• Coordinate site acquisition, ground leases, and power procurement with counsel.
• Maintain and improve contract templates and playbooks.
• Manage US outside counsel, budgets, and quality of advice.
• Support cross-functional teams to deliver projects at pace.
