Job summary

Winston Taylor, a transatlantic law firm, seeks a Director of Information Security to lead the Security Engineering & Operations team. You will develop, oversee, and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity program across the firm’s global footprint, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on technical execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information security or related field.
• 8+ years in cybersecurity with focus on security operations and engineering.
• 5+ years in a security leadership role.
• Ability to commute to an office 3–4 days a week.
• Deep expertise in leading security tech (SIEM, EDR/NGAV, SOAR, FWs, IDS/IPS, DLP, cloud security).
• Knowledge of cloud security (Azure, AWS, GCP) and AI security risks.

• Builds security-aware culture across departments.
• Leads a dedicated security team and drives outcomes.
• Designs and implements controls to protect infrastructure and data.
• Collaborates with IT to assess risks and implement controls.
• Oversees daily security operations, monitoring, and incident response.
• Leads incident response and post-incident lessons.
• Maintains security incident response plans and coordinates with partners.
• Manages relationships with third-party security providers.
• Tracks KPIs for detection, response, and engineering effectiveness.
• Identifies threats and coordinates mitigations across stakeholders.
