Job summary

HAYA Therapeutics is seeking a senior leader to head the Functional Genomic department, guiding high-priority Immunology and Inflammation programs focused on cell-state reprogramming of inflammatory cells.

You will shape strategy, oversee multi-omic data generation, manage budgets, and collaborate with Biology, Data Science, and external partners to translate data into strategic decisions for patient-focused RNA medicines.

Qualifications

• PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or related Health Sciences.
• Deep fluency in immunology & inflammation biology.
• Advanced knowledge of functional genomic assays (snRNA-seq, snATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, Hi-C, MicroC).
• Industry experience in biotech/pharma with CROs and partnerships.
• Strong scientific communication for senior stakeholders.
• Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and CROs.
• RNA therapeutics exposure (ASO/siRNA) is a plus.
• Translational/preclinical expertise in I&I contexts.
• Experience with project management tools and coordinating timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Functional Genomic department to deliver high-quality multi-omic data.
• Direct scientific strategy and execution of I&I research on target cell states.
• Establish and optimize in vitro/in vivo models for target validation.
• Coordinate cross-functional alignment between Biology, Data Science, and Genomics teams.
• Present data narratives to internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee atlas builds to identify high-conviction therapeutic targets.
• Build strategic external partnerships and manage department budgets.
