Job summary

HAYA Therapeutics seeks a strategic leader to head the Functional Genomics department, driving multi-omic data generation and platform innovation for Immunology & Inflammation programs. You will guide in vitro/in vivo model development, identify novel targets, and coordinate with Biology and Data Science teams, shaping translational pipelines.

The role requires PhD-level expertise in Immunology and functional genomics, strong leadership, and a track record in industry collaborations.

Qualifications

• PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or related Health Sciences field.
• Deep technical fluency in Immunology & I&I biology including immune activation and differentiation.
• Advanced knowledge of functional genomic assays such as single-cell/nucleus transcriptomics, chromatin state, and genomic interaction.
• Demonstrated success in industry settings with collaborative scientific activities and partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Functional Genomic department to deliver high-quality multi-omic data and innovate the platform.
• Direct scientific strategy and execution of Immunology & Inflammation research focusing on cell-state reprogramming of inflammatory cells.
• Guide establishment and optimization of in vitro and in vivo models for target identification and validation.
• Manage milestones and objectives for strategic collaborations and partnerships.
• Coordinate cross-functional alignment between Biology, Data Science, and Functional Genomics teams.
• Synthesize raw data into narratives for presentations to stakeholders.
• Oversee atlas builds for identifying high-conviction therapeutic targets.
• Establish strategic relationships with external partners and vendors as a scientific representative in I&I space.
• Manage departmental resources, budgets, and personnel development.
