Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Senior Director I, Product Management to lead the Umbrella line of business, owning its P&L and long-term success. You will shape vision, strategy, and pricing, collaborating with sales, underwriting, and claims to drive profitability and growth.

The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional influence, and deep analytics in an insurance setting. This position is based in the US with on-site responsibilities in Plano, TX.

We're seeking a Senior Director I, Product Management to oversee the P&L and long-term success of our Umbrella line of business. The Umbrella line is on a journey to overhaul our product to position us for long-term profitable growth.

We're seeking a Senior Director I, Product Management to oversee the P&L and long-term success of our Umbrella line of business. The Umbrella line is on a journey to overhaul our product to position us for long-term profitable growth.

Responsibilities

• Directly accountable for Umbrella profit and loss, including performance against plan.
• Creates vision and strategy for Umbrella LOB including but not limited to target market, channel strategy and product features needed to attract customers.
• Establishes objectives for Umbrella in terms of growth and profitability.
• Develops, reviews, and implements strategies through the integration of the sales, service, underwriting, pricing and claims functions.
• Collaborates within Product and other functional departments to maximize effectiveness of programs while maintaining compliance.
• Monitors the market place and identifies competitor and industry changes impacting effectiveness or compliance of current programs.
• Examines all relevant data and works with the appropriate teams to implement changes in pricing position, underwriting standards, sales growth, and claims handling.
• Works with the various distribution channels across states to develop new business volume and quality standards and objectives, and to monitor the quality of new business sales results

Qualifications

• Highly developed quantitative analysis and problem-solving skills
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Proven ability to influence other leaders across an organization 10+ years progressively responsible work experience in an analytically driven environment
• Previous experience in consulting or call center / customer service analytics in insurance or financial services preferred but not required
• MBA or advanced degree in quantitative field preferred but not required

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
