About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Key Account Manager in New York City, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Minneapolis, MN or other major United States locations to lead and work on various Power and Renewables (P&R) projects. The Key Account Manager implements the AtkinsRéalis KAM Process and associated KAM Actions to manage client relationships and grow full services of the account.
About You
In this role, you will provide project management and project controls services to major energy companies and utilities and collaborate with other AtkinsRéalis Business Units on Nuclear and Minerals & Metals programs. You will develop and maintain strong client relationships, identify new opportunities, influence perception of AtkinsRéalis, and manage the client account plan and revenue pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across the client organization and identify resources to assist with client communication.
- Engage as a trusted advisor and understand and influence the client’s perception of AtkinsRéalis.
- Gather and collect client and market intelligence: projects, trends, strategy, competitors, pricing, etc.
- Identify new opportunities and cross‑sell new service offerings into the client organization.
- Document the business environment within the client organization: procurement process, financial stability, politics, terms & conditions, etc.
- Champion industry events and activities to heighten client engagement.
- Facilitate regular KAM meetings and client strategy sessions.
- Own the client account plan maintenance and management.
- Grow the full services of the account (pipeline and revenue stream) and offer innovative value propositions.
- Participate in developing sales targets and drive KAM and overall team accountability for success; manage KAM business development budget and spend.
- Increase awareness of the client’s current and ongoing projects and participate in the monthly project reviews (PRR’s).
- Align industry engagement spend with client and project requirements.
- Provide KAM‑specific input into the P&R Teams strategic and tactical plans.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of practice. Post‑graduate degree preferred. Management coursework and/or MBA a plus.
- 10 years of experience since a B.S., with at least five years in a management position.
- Excellent technical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage large‑scope operations and provide leadership to multiple levels of management.
- Business vision and ability to represent the firm effectively to staff, clients, and the community.
- Promote high performance and consistent accountability at all levels within the accounts.
- Professional registration in field of practice preferred, if available.

Compensation
Expected compensation range is between $180,000 and $240,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographic location.
